Oregon Rifle Elk Hunting
Over the years we have spent countless days and weeks in several of Eastern Oregon's finest Rocky Mountain Elk hunting units. Currently, we offer rifle Rocky Mountain Elk hunts in the Heppner Starkey, Ochoco, Beulah, and South Sumpter units.
Within these units we have been able to secure some outstanding ranches for Elk Hunting and have scouted some of the most productive areas. What this means to our clients is that we have extensive knowledge of these hunting units and we are able to offer several different types of rifle elk hunting opportunities.
We have branched bull elk and spike bull elk hunts available depending on the hunting area and dates of the hunt. The elk herds are doing very well in our areas and our success has been high, with many hunts having 100% success on branched antler bulls.
All of our rifle elk hunts include:
- Full guide services (2x1 or 1x1)
- Lodging in comfortable wall tents with wood stoves (Our Morgan Lake Ranch elk hunts do necessitate the clients renting a motel room during the hunt)
- All meals during your hunt
- Transportation during your hunt
- Care of your trophy while in camp (includes field dressing and preparation for your trip home)
Weather during our rifle elk hunts is typical late fall, early winter type weather, with the chance of snow always possible during the first season, and usually present during the second season. Temperatures range from the teens to the 40’s and low 50’s. We always recommend layering your clothing and good warm, waterproof boots.
Oregon Elk hunting can be a rigorous and demanding sport on both our hunting guides and hunter. We encourage our clients to stay in good physical condition, exercise regularly and practice often with your weapon of choice. Allow us to help make your Oregon Elk hunting vacation a safe and memorable one. Come join us for an unforgettable hunting adventure in Central and Eastern Oregon's finest elk hunting units.
